Frequently Asked Questions

Rid-A-Gum

Is it safe to use indoors?

Yes (click here for MSDS).

What is the chemical composition?

How long will an 8-ounce bottle last?

If applied properly, approximately 150 wads of chewing gum.

How much should be poured on each gum wad?

Enough to coat the top part of the gum wad. Usually two to three drops.

Will it damage the backing of carpet?

No. Numerous test have been conducted without any damage to carpet backing.

Will it remove gum from tile?

Yes but use sparingly as to not damage the glue on the underside of the tile. Also, do not use the hand agitation brush as it may damage the tile surface. Instead, use a cloth or green scrub pad with light pressure.

What other type of stains will it work on?

It works on a wide variety of stains like grease, lip stick, candle wax, oil and food stains. The best thing to do is simply try it. Depending on the surface containing the stain, use good judgment as to whether to use the brush, a soft cloth or a green scrub pad so as to not damage the surface. If Rid-A-Gum does not remove the stain, try CGR 1000 (CGR1000 Reviews).

Will it remove gum from hard surfaces?

Yes, in some cases. The product is designed to work best on soft surfaces, like carpet and fabric

Will a dark spot remain on the carpet after the gum is removed?

The reason a gum wad is usually dark in color is due to dirt on top of the gum. If you attempt to remove the gum wad, the dirt will spread creating a dark spot. Avoid creating this "dark spot" by removing the dirt prior to removing the gum by blotting with a rag dampened with Rid-A-Gum solution.

CGR 1000

Is it safe to use indoors?

Yes, the solution is a water based that is non-toxic and Biodegradable (click here for MSDS).

What is the chemical composition?

How long will a gallon last?

When used with the Gum Wizard machine, approximately 2 hours of continuous use. However, removing chewing gum is performed by going spot-to-spot so the actual time will be much longer. When used as an all purpose cleaner in a spray bottle, obviously it depends on how much CGR 1000 is applied to the stain and how often it is used.

Can CGR 1000 be used without the Gum Wizard Machine?

Yes, in fact, it is one of the best all purpose cleaners on the market. Used full-strength or diluted with water, it will remove almost any stain you come up against.

What type of stains will CGR 1000 remove?

The list is long but the best rule of thumb is to try in anywhere. We know it works great on trouble stains like, grease, oil, coffee, tea, soda, wine, dirt, grass, pet stains, food, ketchup, mustard, and chocolate.

The Gum Wizard Machine

How does the machine remove chewing gum?

Through the use of internally generated steam, an amazing new cleansing detergent called CGR 1000 and a little bit of brush agitation, the Gum Wizard System removes chewing gum and other types of stains better than any other product on the market.

How much water does the machine use?

The water reservoir holds three liters. Obviously, it depends on how often the machine will be in use but if used continuously three liters will last approximately, two hours.

What type of power is required to operate the machine?

The machine can operate using 15 amps of power if nothing else is running using the same circuit. Otherwise, a 20 amp circuit is recommended.

Can an extension cord be used to bring power to the machine?

Yes, but it has to be at least a 12 gauge cord.

Can a portable generator be used to power the machine?

Yes, but it must be no less than 2400 watts.

Can other chemicals or cleansers be used with the machine?

No. The use of chemicals other than CGR 1000 will void the manufacturers' warranty.

How long is the machine warranty?

12 month limited warranty.

Is the machine noisy?

No. The only real noise is when the built-in vacuum is used. The noise level will be comparable to that of a typical home vacuum cleaner.

How much does the machine weigh?

Approximately 66 pounds without fluids (CGR 1000 and water).

Car the machine be used indoors?

Yes, the machine is regularly used to clean bathrooms, tile grout, kitchen oven hoods and indoor carpet.
