Rid-A-Gum
Method of Application and Product Facts
Carpeting:
NOTE: The reason a gum wad is usually dark in color is due to dirt on top of the gum. If you attempt to remove the gum wad, the dirt will spread creating a dark spot. Avoid creating this "dark spot" by removing the dirt prior to removing the gum by blotting with a clean rag dampened with Rid-A-Gum solution. Then do the following:
- Wet entire surface of gum wad with Rid-A-Gum
- Allow 3 seconds for lifting action
- Manually agitate gum wad with the stainless steel Rid-A-Gum brush
- Brushing motion should be with brisk-short strokes across grain of carpet, then
repeat going with carpet grain
- Gum wad should be lifted and dissolved without leaving sticky residue. Old and
deeply embedded gum may require a second application
On Upholstery and Other Fabrics:
Do not use the stainless steel Rid-A-Gum brush on any surface that you think could be damaged by the agitation. Instead, use a cloth or possibly a green scrubbing pad for best results.
Brush Maintenance
- Submerge brush head in Rid-A-Gum and let soak for 5 minutes
- Remove any excess gum with a clean absorbent cloth before continuing use
